Joined AM&G: Kevin joined
AM&G Construction & Real Estate developer as Commercial Manager in February 2016.
Qualifications: ONC, HNC in building studies to CIOB. SMSTS and NEBOSH certification.
Experience:
- Kevin has a 35-year pedigree in construction, starting out as an apprentice bricklayer and climbing the ranks to assistant foreman before setting his sights on a career as a Quantity Surveyor and subsequently Commercial Manager.
- His QS training and work experience took him to senior QS at which time he moved into project management, programme management, contract and framework management roles.
- Kevin has worked on a huge variety of construction and civil engineering projects including; warehouses, schools, complex concrete structures, landfills, roads, sewers, wind farms and plot works valued up to £20million.
Most memorable or unusual jobs to date:
“Many, many memorable projects some of which I have built by myself. Travelling to and from work, from Darlington to Consett where our offices are, I pass several houses, buildings and structures with bricks, stone and concrete I have laid myself. Then there are the many sites I have been financially responsible for and some I have managed scattered all over the region and beyond to as far afield as Wick in Northern Scotland.”
